I am noticing a few bugs that are still surfacing. We will continue to work towards plugging the holes. Overall the additions seem to be a success. Hopefully everyone is enjoying them. Thanks again

I thought I had that error fixed. I couldn't get it to happen again. I will take a look at it.

It is something that only appears to happen in "some" initialization cases but I will look at it none the less. If I have to make a new toon and reset cbh 20x. Glad our addon is working out for you and glad you like it. Thanks also to Niemassacre for his recent additions.

On to you requests:
1.) This was/is actually on the implementation list for the near future. I will probably put this in about the same time I put in color frames by calling color since it will be in the same code.

2.) I'm not quite sure I understand this one. When you mouseover a frame in my addon, it should pop up the normal game tooltip. Only exception I've noticed to this is your own frame. For some reason it doesn't show up from the players raid frame.

Thanks again for the feedback. It's encouraging and greatly helpful for future additions.

edit : nothing after a /reloadui. Maybe just because it was the first run, but still have a look ^^

edit2 : Looking good so far, that's what Ive been looking for, great job overall

Just a few suggestions :
1. Would it be possible to change the color as the health drop ? I did the tweak myself when I was using LifeBinder to make the color changes from green to red as health go from 100% to 0%. You can keep the option of choosing bar color by adding a check box "use gradient" and rgb values. It's really great to have a better look on the raid status in my opinion.
2. Is it possible to have the normal game tooltip when you mouseover a raid member frame ?

v1.0.9 added some more fixes...

My apologies. We found a few more bugs and decided to go ahead and fix them and get them out there. If you downloaded 1.0.8 already I apologize in advance. Enjoy the changes!
  • Fixed bug with Role Icon size not loading the saved value.
  • Fixed positioning for buffs to be proportional to the frame size.
  • Fixed bug with check box option for frame right to left being checked when it wasn't true.
  • Fixed issue with buff colors not updating after role change.
  • Added more filters to spell ability list populating to weed out unnecessary listings.
  • Fixed issue with obscured text with certain checked boxes in options window.
  • Fixed issue with text listing of saved buff locations not resetting on role change.

v1.0.8 is out...

New update is out. This update was mostly focused around further compatibility with Rift 1.9 and watchdog and the buff monitoring system. We added several new ways to track buff expiration. For a full list of changes see the change log.

Enjoy the update and Happy Rifting.

Thank u very very much for working to make this addon better! I'm very excited about it since RHR kinda tailed off.

Re: Re: Initial Use

I did find the issue that caused this and it has been resolved in my local testing. Will put this out in the next update. (should be in the next day or so)

I thought it might have been looking for a file that hadn't been created yet, so I logged out and back in. When I logged back in, it gave no error.

Now if my group ever gets their folks up to level 50 for raiding ... we'll be set. I will be trying it out in smaller groups, and will get familiar with it soon.

Initial Use

Just came back to Rift. Looking forward to the addons and have written a few for WoW. When first installed on first entry into the game:

Now if my group ever gets their folks up to level 50 for raiding ... we'll be set. I will be trying it out in smaller groups, and will get familiar with it soon.

My first problem was decreasing the height to a thin long frame. I use the frame to indicate health, and do not need a % readout. Yet I have to keep the frame height large to keep the % text from overriding the name text.

Set a variable for % text toggle (binary 0,1). When the frame draws the % text frame ... if the variable is nil or 0 then it doesn't draw, otherwise bingo. Or simply edit the strings to be "" when the selection is false. I'll check out the code.

Re: this addon is not working for me after the patch

Yes it is. Ish. RHR was really the only one out there at the time I started learning. I used it as an example to get started but RHR had lots of performance issues and coding flaws, but now here we are 3k downloads later (2k on curse) and most of the performance problems fixed.

Anywhos, The performance messages can be dismissed. You only get them upon logging in due to it drawing all the frames. I am working on a way around this currently. Lots of addons are experiencing this issue. The errors in the chat box are the ones I'd be concerned about. Could you provide any additional details on the errors as I haven't seen any issues with it yet. Thanks and sorry for the issues. Glad you are liking the addon though.

PS. If you don't mind having to set the addon back up you might try a /cbh reset. THIS WILL RESET ALL DEFAULTS! I can't promise this will fix it though as I don't know what the issue is you are having.

After the patch I get error message that the addon is running too slow, and lots of error messages in the chat box. I have no choice but to close it.
I have the latest update, what could be causing this?
btw I am sooo grateful for a healer addon. Is this the continuation of rhr?

cheers, Faidra

error message

I had an error message also when I first started rift. It was localized to one character but the addon seems to work just fine once I ignored the error.

Faidra, most addons give that error after the patch... it's caused by new parameters the addons are regarded with in game.

That said, I sometimes get that message too, but I ignore it and everything goes fine... I don't have any problem, lag or fps loss, not even yesterday in Conquest at peak hours... and man, there was such a throng of players in there :P

Give it a try... ignore the warning and just keep playing and see what happens

I have discovered an error with role icon being toggled on/off. This has been corrected and will be wrapped in the next update.

Thanks

I'm working hard to keep it where it needs to be. Been working on internal code cleanup so I haven't gotten a lot of new features out there. Wanted to make sure it didn't break with the new watchdog system in 1.9. But all is well and thus I am back to addressing the features and functionality portion. I have also acquired another dev which together, we have lots of plans for this addon going forward. So bare with us and hold on. We are working on the flash/fade option now and will get this out with the next update.

Thank you for the feedback. It is greatly and appreciated and helpful.

Would it be possible to make the buff indicator flash rather fade? I need it to be more 'in my face' warning then that.

Thanks for your work!
