Hmmm... I apologize for that Snags.. It really hadn't occurred to me that patch hadn't hit the EU servers yet. I'm so used to NA being last. lol. The game really doesn't care what that is set to as far as I can tell. So I can leave it a version behind until all the servers are patched and it shouldn't cause a problem. That way you and all the EU players can update and use the addon. Only time I'll really have to be careful with this is if I'm using something specific that was newly implemented. Otherwise not a problem. Hindsight. I'll pay more attention to this in the future.

On another note.. I did a couple of conquest matches with the new updates and changes and it went pretty smooth other than having hundreds of people in a single zone. Lol. The addon worked splendidly.

I love what you done with it since last time I tried it.

Would it be possible to make the buff indicator flash rather fade? I need it to be more 'in my face' warning then that.

Can't wait to try the new features, and to have two more buff slots <3 Unfortunately, EU is not getting the patch till late at night, so I'll have to wait till tomorrow (I was a bit puzzled when I installed the new version and Click Box Healer disappeared... then my brain started working and the puzzlement passed :P)

I just wanted to welcome Niemassacre ^^

v1.0.7 is live with new features...

v1.0.7 has been pushed live. Changes noted below with addition to compatibility with the newest Rift update v1.9.

6/27 - v1.0.7
  • Added ability to change the buff color.
  • Added 2 additional buff slots. Left Center and Left Right.
  • Fixed an issue where the ability list was not auto-refreshing.
  • Modified Ready Check icon.
  • Added buff fading as the duration falls off.
  • Added an option to change the alpha for out of range and los frames.
  • Added an option to color the whole frame when debuffs are present.
  • Fixed a bug with frames not showing warfront status'.

v1.0.7 status update...

With 1.9 coming in less than 24hrs I have decided to hold off the v1.0.7 update until after the update lands. Everything has been tested on both the Live and PTS servers so there shouldn't be any errors. But people will be updating addons at that point anyways. Here is a list of the things that will be coming with it so far.

6/27 - v1.0.7
  • Added ability to change the buff color.
  • Added 2 additional buff slots. Left Center and Left Right.
  • Fixed an issue where the ability list was not auto-refreshing.
  • Modified Ready Check icon.
  • Added buff fading as the duration falls off.
  • Added an option to change the alpha for out of range and los frames.
  • Added an option to color the whole frame when debuffs are present.

Also in news. I have picked up an additional member that will be assisting with the development of the addon. Please welcome niemassacre to my team. See you all after 1.9.

Oh wow, you're adding buff durations! That's awesome

...and I think that's all I have to say for now ^^ I can't come up with anything else I miss, CBH has all you really need to be effective, I think



Also, a big YAY for optional buff slots Only thing that would make it perfect would be having the option to use them for both buffs and debuffs [Thinking about pvp here: it'd be lovely if I could set up different kinds of debuffs in different indicators --- right now I have healing reduction and mana drain debuffs set to show up as special, but I'd love to have the option to differentiate between healing reduction and mana draining ones, and to see exactly who has Lingering Wounds on. Right now if I see someone with a red indicator, I know it's something I probably don't want to leave there... but if I'm, let's say, the fang/vessel/whatever holder it'd be really useful to know if someone near me has a healing debuff I can basically ignore because he's not the focus of attacks, or if he has something like traitorous influence on, that could obliterate me since I can't scuttle away to drink ]

Uhmmm, looks like I came up with something after all... but I'm afraid it'd be too difficult / too cpu usage eating, so I don't know... just a wish ^^

Ran into some issues with the buff colors not savings properly. Should be fixed soon.

Thanks for the response. I do have the option checked - I'll see if I can reproduce the issue at some point, but it's not a big one.

Regarding the casting issue, it seems @mouseoverui macros do return errors (at least with unitframes - will test as soon as possible with the default raid frames) when the target under the cursor is out of range (http://i.imgur.com/3cyW8.jpg). I'm browsing through your files and am still getting a hang of where various settings are, but I'm assuming you aren't using that command then?

I will test the range checks just to be sure. But at the last update I was unaware of any issues with it. Check in the option window to ensure the range fade option is checked. As for the second issue, nothing I can do about that at this time that I am aware of. This is due to functionality in the game. The same results would occur if you had the spell on your bar. Thanks again and I'll take a look at the range thing in the mean time.

After a day or two, my biggest issue so far is with range issues. It seems that units still have full alpha even if the target isn't in range - the range sensor appears to be a bit farther than casting range.

In addition (and more importantly), if I click heal a target that isn't in range, the spell casts on me, rather than not casting a spell at all and returning an error. I've just begun to sift through the code - have you encountered these issues, and if so, do you know if they can be changed?

Thanks for the feedback! And absolutely, If you have any suggestions or ideas drop them here. I'll take a look at them. Rift's API IS limited. But is also developing a lot. 1.9 and the upcoming expansions have lots of promise for the addon world. Lots of things we are looking forward to.

Just got back into Rift, and so happy to see something like this out there (as a long time WoWer). Thanks! I'll try to leave more detailed feedback/requests as I use the addon more.

I don't have a lot of experience with LUA, but I would be happy to lend what knowledge I do have of coding to help you out. And I've used lots of Healbot-like addons in WoW, so I'm sure there will be a few features I request moving forward ;-) Though I do know how much more limited the Rift API is.
