Issues w/ v1.0.1

I tested the addon with a complete fresh install. Deleted all saved settings and it there is currently an issue with buffs not clearing properly when timed out. THIS WILL BE FIXED ASAP! Expect another update later today!

Sorry for the inconvenience. These issues did not appear in my current running of the addon. Only on fresh installs. No excuse, but will be resolved quickly.

Thank you for your patience.

Things to come...

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad that you like it.

I did have an issue with the buffs not wearing off when I first made the changes but I continued working on it and it started working fine. So I figured it was just a fluke. I will look more into this one more, hopefully Thursday (today). Let me know how reloading the updated version works for you. When you go this route make sure you go to the Rift/Interface/Saved directory and do a search for clickboxhealer and delete the clickboxhealer.lua files that show up in each directory (character and account folders is where they'll show up). These are the saved variables. You shouldn't have to do this but just as an extra precaution or step.

As for the buffs being in a row, I will probably not change this. I like using the corners. I do have plans of adding additional buff slots though. Just haven't figured out how I want to handle this. I'm not sure where to put them. I might add 2 and put one on each left and right side in the middle. And lastly I WILL BE adding the option to change the color of the buff slots. I completely agree with you on this. Though this is what I use the corner location of them for, for some the color is easier to distinguish and remember.

Layouts are a big step and might be coming in the future. So I kind of take back what I said before about not changing the buff icons being in a row. I might just make this a separate layout that you can use or something. This will be a lot easier to implement once I set the addon up to save profiles so you can load them identical between characters instead of having to set them up on each one. If I were to make a profile that allowed the buff icons to all be in a row, where would you like them to be?

I appreciate you taking the time to read this and I don't intend to stop updating this addon anytime soon. There is always something to add and something to change and I want it to work as functionally as possible for everyone that uses it. I can't make EVERYONE happy but I will do what I can and what seems reasonable. So with that, I also appreciate your feedback. It is greatly helpful.

Thanks,

~Solsis

I would very much like to use this addon instead of others, but the hot tracking layout is just not working for me.

Don't know if there's something wrong with my UI, but after I cast a HoT, the buff icon won't wear off after the hot wears off, both in combat and out of combat. CBH is the only addon I have loaded. I'll try totally reinstalling the addon (I just downloaded the new version and overwritten the previous one).

Additionally, I would very much like to have an option to display the HoT icons in the top right corner in a row, the possibility to add more icons (3 is not enough) and the possibility to change their color (to easily distinguish which hots are on when they are in a row).

Double update. v1.0.1a is out...

Apologies if you just updated this afternoon but the performance fixes I made appear to be going really well. I have uploaded them and updated to v1.0.1a. Let me know if you have any issues and thanks to everyone for the continued support.

Update 0.9.9

Just released 0.9.9 update to resolve any remaining issues with ghost unit frames for previous group members. Also fixed it showing units out of range when party members get re-arranged and aren't actually out of range.

Thank you. I will.

There are a lot of mixed feelings on the cpu usage thing. Again.. It's a mixed decision. While a lot of people don't like a company they are paying money to play a game telling them what and how to they have to do something, they also have to understand that some addons are just coded so badly it actually crashes peoples clients. So this will prevent that. Where it becomes a problem is like addons that scan the auction. Choke the CPU during the scan. But are they hurting anything? No. You are standing at an auction house. As long as it isn't crashing the client. My only problem is, how do you work out the performance issues if you can't load the addon and get output for troubleshooting? Otherwise, If they want to enforce addon optimization I'm ok with it. It forces people to fix their addons. I don't see why that is bad. If they code it badly people don't use it and it dies all the same. Now it just won't load or it spams messages in your chat box. So really I'm just impartial. It doesn't matter to me either way. Just my 2 cents. *shrug* I read a big long forum post people were whining about it so much. And I'm just sitting here like, what's the big deal?

On a side note... my addon isn't THAT bad. And should run even under the new constraints. Might get some warnings occasionally. But I WILL be working to fix that. Anywhos, Thanks again for the continued support.

Re: The search continues...

Just an update to keep my followers informed. I know why this is happening. I am just looking for the best way to resolve it. I will hopefully get something to you guys over this weekend. I am celebrating my birthday on Saturday but otherwise am focused on fixing this. I have some performance testing to do this weekend as well. Have a couple of ideas of how to bring that CPU usage down. But we'll see how it goes.

Thanks again to everyone. Have a GREAT WEEKEND!

I had it happen only once halfway during a Scion... tried to look very closely to see if it happened again, but in the many wfs I took part of over the last few days it didn't. Luckily a simple reloadui fixed it

Re: Re: Package file change?

So I just got a response to this and it was something I was doing wrong. I should be able to get it fixed now so that it has a prefix folder with the addon name. Thanks again.

The short of it is, I am currently looking into this. Thanks for the feedback.

Minor, perhaps, but annoying.

Thx.

Thanks

Glad to hear it is working great. I won't get to truly test it until Sunday when I raid. I added some debuffs I specifically want to watch for on it. But now with all the big stuff in (hopefully), I'm going to really try to nail down the performance a little more. When I first got a hold of the addon, it's structure at the time was using 25% CPU in a full raid. So driving it down to 7-10% in a full raid, I am pretty impressed by the progress I have made on it. But it still isn't good enough in my opinion. I have some ideas that could bring it down some more so we'll see how it goes.

On a side note. You should PM me your ID/Server information and your ID on the PTS. I'm installing the PTS right now so I can get on it and have it up for API testing and making sure my addon doesn't break with updates. And just to test the new API changes that are made. I loved the changes for 1.8. So many nice new things. And more in the works. Trying to do my best to keep up with it.

Thanks for all your feedback. It's been great. As well as some really great ideas.

Oh! I always forget to add this... I still haven't tried to set up my non-pvp healing specs in ClickBoxHealer ^^
