Dev Update
Just wanted to throw out a quick update on what's coming down the pipe. As I know documentation is kinda sparse I'm currently working on some documentation/help file to cover existing and upcoming functionality. Once that is done I'll put out version 1.13. 1.13 will have some minor UI changes to clean up the interface a little and hopefully make it flow better and be a bit easier to use. It will also include 2 big additions, Alert Sub Sets and Export/Import support.
Alert Sub Sets will be additional sets above the standard 5 sets that can be loaded in conjunction with a standard set. You will be able to load 1 set and 1 sub set at any given time for a total of 40 alerts displayed. This will allow you to setup the standard alerts you want for your base role and then a sub set for when you are in PvP or in a specific instance or whatever you want. Export/Import support will allow you to quickly and easily share single alerts or alert sets with other players. Having problems with a boss? Setup an alert set for specific conditions of the fight and pass the set out to your guildies. Have a slick interface setup for your class? Post it to the forums so others can share. The Export/Imports will be simple text that you can easily cut and paste in to and out of the addon. |

Found a bug, I think. Combo points. When leaving a warfront or instance with full combo points the warning doesnt leave until you start to build combos on another target.

* Abilities are now consolidated into two groups for diminishing returns.
- Movement abilities [Root, Knockback, Snare] which were not previously set up with diminishing returns. - Control abilities [Banish, Disarm, Silence, Fear, Confuse, Mesmerize, Stun] * In PvP, being hit with a crowd control effect starts a 24 second diminishing returns timer. If you are hit with a second effect from the same group (Movement or Control) during that time, the effect is reduced by 50%. You are then immune to additional effects from the same group until the initial timer has expired. Straight from the old patch notes, I assumed it would be hard to set up, but can always dream lol

If there are solid numbers on how many hits of CC it takes to become immune by DR, then it might be possible to track how many times a target is hit and pop the alert when the necessary amount of hits in a short enough timeframe occur. Due to my unfamiliarity with the DR mechanic in PvP, there are some possible issues I would wonder about: 1) Exactly how is DR tracked for a player? I'm assuming they don't track how many times you're hit by each player separately and only make you immune to that one person- that would make stun-chains still possible by using a rotation among attackers. But is it a global accumulation against ALL types of CC, does it accumulate separately for each TYPE (ie you could get immune to stun but not snare from just being stunned only), or is it accumulated against each ability (not likely, but sometimes Trion DOES do weird crap, like the Bard Motif to make critters follow you). 2) Assuming from #1 that all player's CC contributes to a common DR count, the alert tracking COULD become inaccurate if your target had already received some CC from others before you targetted them yourself. It might be possible to compensate for this if the alert can also watch for the target to Immune through a CC without having any immunity buffs on at the time. 3) Does DR reduce over time, or does it do a flat reset? If it's a reset, what are the triggers (death, how much time w/o getting CC'd, etc)? I accept that for strong PvP'ers the answers for these might be common knowledge, but if they aren't handled in the programming, such an alert would be flaky at best and a useless CPU cycle sink at worst. After all, the addon doesn't know beans about PvP itself ![]()
