SimpleMeter is an easy-to-use DPS/HPS meter that shows damage and healing
for both allies and enemies.


Features:

* View and sort by DPS/HPS/Damage/Healing/etc for both allies and enemies
* Damage/healing breakdowns by ability for both allies and enemies
* 4 display modes (All, Self, Top 5, Totals)
* Export stats for both allies and enemies
* View past encounters
* Keep track of stats across all encounters
* Ally/Enemy names color-coded by calling


== Installation Instructions ==

* Download the addon
* Open Rift
* From character select, click the "Addons" button at the bottom
* Click the "Open Addon Directory" button
* Wait for the directory to open up
* Put the SimpleMeter folder into that directory
* Return to Rift
* Click "Refresh"
* Play the game!

i love the idea of this meter in game!! However, Im having HUGE differences in data from guildmates running ACT or Xanadu. I mean i can see maybe 50 - 80 but 800 just isnt right. Could you possibly speculate as to what may be causing this? I have run ACT and Xanadu along side this addon to test numbers and Simple Meter is constantly way off compared to the other 2.

GREAT addon JOR. Respect from a fellow Deepstrike(r)

Two quick questions for you:

1) Encounter End: How come the parser keeps running for several seconds after every encounter? Unless I am super quick and manually hit new session, it seems that my dps readout drops a good 300-400 for each person while the addon figures out the encounter is over. Is this just me?

2) Is there a way to turn off the damage taken (red) section of the add on? I am generally not interested in how much damage I or the raid is taking and I prefer a minimalist UI as much as possible.

In German it would be: "Begleiter von {playername_here}".

Glad we found the problem

Thanks for the info. There's a change in the API that makes detecting whether something is a pet or not significantly easier. Unfortunately it's only on PTS now, but once it's on Live this problem will go away.

Jor in french the pet subtitle is showing "Familier de ..." so with the language api you could hardcode it to look for "Pet" in English, "Familier" in French and ... for German...

That's absolutely it. My addon detects pets by checking the subtitle under the name, and I'm looking for "Jor's Pet". That's why it's failing in a different language.

I have the same Problem with pet dps and it's definitely a language problem.
When I change my client language to english, the pets dps are merged. When I change back to german, pets are not merged.

something i was wondering is this parser doesnt appear to start going until the user starts combat. this imo leads to erroneous parses. is there a way to have it start when combat is picked up regardless of who starts it?

point being say i dont start combat immediately and have to hold off because if i dont im going to pull aggro from the tank and die. well my combat log is already going....but my parser sure isnt unless i was using another more complicated parser.

My char name is Elara (as you can see in the first screen I posted)
My pet name is Caithe.

@Hillysibiin: No use was for pet users as you would have to manually add the pet dps from the whole raid to their owners (which I dont know sometimes) thus giving me incorrect dps numbers.

Btw. Not only my pet gets parsed separately..all the other raid members have their pets separated as well on my parse overview. Very strange indeed.

My bet is still on the German client and language though.

Odd pets get grouped together for me. Even if they didn't that would still be a far cry from "no use."

That's strange. I play a Necrolock and it works fine.

What's your character's name? I wonder if that has to do with it.

Updated to 2.1 Still all pets get parsed separately. Sadly no use in this form to any class that has pets.
