zBag
Version: Alpha7
by: Zoc [More]
zBag - A single window inventory management addon.

Goals:
1) Be able to retrieve item information when hovering the mouse over the icon (partially done)
2) Be able to switch item slots using the Inventory window (done)
3) Add the ability to use items directly from the addon
4) Replace the "open bag" hotkey with the addon hotkey
5) Bank Management (Very low priority, only after inventory management is done)

Current commands:
/di ==> This will display the item list in the Inventory window. Basic item management is possible.
/pb ==> This will display the item list in the chat window.

Known Issues:
- Tooltips doesn't follow mouse cursor (Rift command issue, not fixeable for now)
- Unable to use items straight from the addon, since this is an addon API limitation.
Alpha7
- Fixed /pb command

Alpha6
- Code cleanup, improvements and Lib updates
- Added a few, not used (yet), bank friendly functions
- Addon code more friendly with other addons (no more global namespace functions)

Alpha5
- Fixed GetBagSize() calls
- Item swapping works flawlessly
- Added support to add items to the action bar
- Added automatic window resize based on the amount of available slots

Alpha4
- Created from scratch LibCoroutine to handle separate threads :D
- Item swap now works properly and updates bag view

Alpha3
- Added the ability to swap objects
- Added tooltips

Alpha2
- Fixed window opening and closing

Alpha1
- First Release

I hope you will take this feature suggestion under advisement, and implement it in the near future. Keep up the good work, I look forward to testing future versions.
Sadly, this isn't possible with the current API.

I would suggest looking at Bagnon from WoW for methods to do what others suggest.

I'm currently looking into it but since I have never created addons for any game this is all new to me. Good luck to you and I hope you get this working similar to Bagnon.

This is nice, just wish it was more fluid. I don't really know how to explain what's going on, it's rather confusing for me... but when I do I will make more sense lol... sorry.

Feature Suggestion

One feature that I would like to see added, that you haven't listed, something I consider essential for any good inventory add-on is to detect when the player opens their bags/bank using the default user interface or hot key.

I know countless players waiting for such an addon and it seems you have already managed to break through most of the project. Keep it up, looking forward to try this out.

Thanks for the support guys!

I'm always willing to accept contributions to the addon, just submit me a patch and I'll try to merge it as soon as possible (raw files are fine too, I can merge them myself)!

It seems there's a few commands that will prevent this addon to turn into reality: I couldn't find a way to use items yet (potions, etc.) - I assume these aren't included to avoid the creating of game bots, etc.

I'm currently looking for a way to interact with the items like they're in your bag (so you can drop them in you action bar or equipment screen, for example).

In the meantime, I'm trying to get as much as possible done
