Who Heals PVP?  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.0
by: SinRopa [More]
***This is considered a beta and as such is not as feature-rich or pretty as it may be in the future. ***

This mod aims to fix the ignorance of PVP healing.

It usually takes half the match to get lead to someone with half a brain... and then - marks only work if they are correct.

This mod attempts to fix that.

The frames will expand to display the top three enemy healers.

BUT... Contribution decays based on their top healers output.

Therefore, enemies must KEEP healing to remain listed AND the most effective healers will remain on the list longest.

This mod will not set marks or assist you with targeting as the API doesnt allow either.

It will simply supply you with a list of who to kill. Which, in the right hands, is a very useful tool.

It is meant to act as an anti-healer system, without requiring the use of marks or communication (as it is usually beyond terribad)

I am confident that an entire side of a WF using this will have an advantage over the puggish marking system we attempt to standard.

Issues:
The data system is far from perfect in rift. You will not be hit with all the events if you are too far away - join late - etc...

so player to player rankings will vary... however the decay system has shown that the list will still be in proper order in all our internal tests.

No slash commands are used. Simply drag the marker where you would like the names to be and the frame will grow downward.

Enjoy if possible

I'm not talking about clicking it and targeting, but maybe something like the ability to copy text or something to paste into a target command. What do you think?

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to build it. I could see this being useful at some point.
Ya there are many directions I could take the addon. One such option was floating around the office... The system I use for tracking artifacts in my "Art Collector" addon could be used for leading you to key targets.

I didn't implement that from the start because its closely related to another concept that uses the same system to group you with friendly pvp raid members...

There's no reason I couldn't also expand this to include top deeps as well.

I had a feeling as such, but decided to report anyways so you can see what an actual user of your addon thinks needs to be worked on. Looking forward to updates!
Thanks for taking the time to comment.

After weeks of very few comments, zero bug reports and steadily falling downloads... its been a bit boring for me as a dev.

When that happens I try new things and let old mods die (assuming people tried them and uninstalled)

Even obvious feedback lets me know there is a demand for the crap I work on.

If only the API would let us mark or target through it, but the chance of that is slim as to prevent automation addons.

EDIT: It's also doing it's thing out of warfronts, even when I am not PvP flagged (I'm on a PvE server). I really don't care about which Guardian is healing the most when killing a zone event boss in Ember Isle. Even had it doing stuff in Expert Iron Tomb from some mobs with self-healing.
All of this is known and "As Intended" for the beta version for testing purposes.

The visible "marker" is to indicate which version is being used in screen shots without me having to ask. The pve triggering is for testing purposes - otherwise i have to debug in a warfront and will be removed and locked if i AFK. The lingering decay allows for the full length decay to complete - to reveal hidden bugs and also so i can tweak decay rates etc.

Thanks for your feedback.
