Arc-shaped indicator bars.


Soon to be highly customisable arcs, some of the planned types of arcs are:
Castbars, Buff/Debuff, HoT/DoT, Proc

If you want new specific options or features, check to see if it's on the list, if it's not - add it and I will review it!

Usage:
/arch
-- To open the settings window

Some settings may not be set in effect directly (such as target settings), to make sure that a changed setting is loaded into your arcs, you can do a /reloadui which will save and reload all settings.

Look at the folder ArchimedesDefaultSkin to see how you can create your own skin!


If you are having issues after an update, you may need to reset your settings.
To do so, log out of the game and then go into the <game folder>/interface/saved/<account>/<shard>/<character name>/SavedVariables and delete Archimedes.lua

The error with Archimedes was on Trions side, Zorba said when 1.7 goes live he will have it fixed =D

Just a heads up.
On PTS for 1.7 this addon is broken to a state that you cant use it. I would post screen shots but I am at work atm. If you don't get on to witness it I will post some tomorrow afternoon

Bugs Found

Hello:

I love the Add-On - Great Work - Just a couple of things:

Since the latest RIFT Hotfix, the global options are blank and chat gives me various LUA errors. This was not the case until the latest hotfix.

Also, and this has been happening since the beginning and may be something you are already aware of - I created a bar for Pet Health. When playing my Necromancer, whenever I first log in, the pet de-spawns and is re-summoned, or I use a Poticulum or other travel method that brings up a loading screen, the bar goes away. Opening the interface and re-selecting "Stat" as the bar type makes it come back. This does not happen with any of the other bars - including the focus bar I added - just the Pet bars.

Last, a couple of "Wish List" items (not needed but just suggesting):

I think adding numeric values - percentages or otherwise - would be a nice addition. Also, having a "mouse-over" option on top of a combat option like other UI elements have would be nice.

Yeah, I just realised, fix is in the next version (I think I'll get a global combat alpha setting in there as well, if I have the time to finish it)

Yeah, I named the yellow textures wrong (I've swapped left/right)

Thank you so much for the clean curves, they are better then the original from Icehud. Well done. I noticed the yellow color swaps the direction of the curve. I will post a SS when the server come up.

First, thanks for the quick responses, I'm very happy to hear you are so actively working on this.

Also, looks like something blew up with your latest update. Player health and enemy health are the only 2 showing up at all. And a lot of error messages are being generated to the chat box.

Clean Curves --- AMAZING !!

Great work getting it in, it was just what i needed.

I think there's a bug with Target Energy - it flips the curvature.

There may also be a bug with Player.Health options. After i set the options frame, i get this :

[C] in function SetPosition
Archimedes/settings.lua:460: function SetNew

In terms of changes, maybe add a global setting for offset Y, and scale. As well as a setting for width of the curves, if that's still possible. I know i wanted to slim down the charge and possible the powerbars.

4. Vertical bars will probably be added if it isn't too much work, otherwise I will put it on my "nice-to-have" list rather than the "need-to-have"
5. This will be added and you should be able to choose format as well (percentage, current, current/max and any combination)

The button has been fixed, as well as the text field (It's a small hack that lets me release focus from any text field but it shouldn't be visible or available to the user)

These are two of the things I just fiddled around with before releasing the new version.
The fixed stuff will be up tonight.

I've stumbled upon an oddity, apparently your (great) addon generates an text input field in the screen's top left corner which catches clicks and subsequent keystrokes as text input. Also, opening the settings places the '+ Add Arc' button up there.
Could you look into this when there's time?
