- With Burnout -- at least for me -- it would turn bars to magenta when Burnout appears but then it wouldn't turn it back to cyan when Burnout runs out. I believe the fix for that was in two places -- set debuff type variable when Burnout appears and the code that reverts to normal colors had to be moved (it wouldn't execute properly otherwise). |

buff tracker
Is it possible to have more than one buff trigger the buff indicator in the same location?

As someone suggested, though, I think I'll just rework how the slot assigns work in general - rather than picking a spell per slot, I'll let you create a list for each slot, and the higher order spells will show above the other ones. But that will be a longer term change that will take some time, and will probably happen after Christmas. |

Hi, I really hope this isn't too stupid of a question but I have looked through many pages of these comments and every option I can see on the addon but with no luck.
My problem is that the red bar that goes round the edges of a players raidframe when he is getting attacked is covering up the bar that shows how much shields they have on them. I can't find an option to either reduce the size of the red aggro bar or increase the size/move the bar that shows shields. Any help would be really appreciated! |

Hi. I have just come to this addon, although I have played a healer in Rift for some time; the addon's ability to track Foul Growth stacks is what brought me here.
I'd like firstly to say thank you for your efforts - this addon is really superb. A couple of requests (that have been partially addressed already): -- Using a wildcard or "first few letters" matching for buffs (e.g. "Link of") for one of the corner icons. -- Use of the spell icon to particular buffs (e.g. Hideous Reconstruction or Foul Growth). This is not that vital since we allocate them to their own corners anyway. -- The possibility to place two markers in each corner, each with a different colour. This will allow more flexibility. Example: so I can know that I have Healing Spray and Hideous Reconstruction running on the tank, while using the other corners for Foul Growth and Links. Finally - thanks again! Guys like you keep the community in Rift excellent. |

* As you mentioned, "wildcard" Custom fields are coming in the next patch - many Defilers mentioned they wanted to track their Links in one spot. * Icons are also coming in the next patch. I'd like to make this a by-slot option, but it will probably start as system-wide. The main issue right now for me is that the stack number can be very hard to read on some icons - so I need to find a way to address that. * Honestly, I'm not sure this is something that I'll implement in the foreseeable future. I'd certainly like to accommodate everyone's preferred method of use for the addon, but there's a certain point where the amount of complexity I'd have to add to the project would start hindering the more basic functionality. I'm afraid I'm just not a good enough programmer to make CBH that customizable without retracting from either the addon's ease of use, or its reliability and memory footprint. So while I would never say something is out of the question, I don't think this will be high on the priority list for upcoming features. Sorry! |

A few observations
First off, thank you for all your efforts in putting this addon together! I was looking for something like Grid was for WoW, and this looked somewhat close from the description.
My biggest problem (which is a deal breaker for me - I won't be able to use the addon) is that existing @mouseover macros do not work on these raid frames - in order to use click-casting, you have to set it up through the addon. When I first discovered this it was an annoyance but I figured it wouldn't be too bad to copy/paste all my macros into the addon. The part that turned out to be the deal breaker, though, was that you are only given a set number of buttons to bind to. Because my mouse has lots of buttons and Rift only recognises so many, I have multiple mouse buttons bound to macro keys on my keyboard, which is not an option from within the Click Box Healer config window. I believe this would not be a problem for most users, and if I hadn't started using click casting until I started using this addon it would be fine, but after investing over a year and a half of muscle memory into my current binds, I'm not really willing to completely redo that. There are a few other minor issues that, if it weren't for the mouseover macro issue, I would be able to live with. I would prefer that either all buff/debuff/corner settings save and change with different layout settings, or that we be able to assign multiple completely different buffs to the same corner (ie not just "Link of", but possibly Healing Spray and Symbol of the Torch). The ideal situation would be everything being unique to layouts, but assigning multiple buffs to one corner would accomplish almost the same thing. This is just nit-picky, but it would be nice to have further customisation options for things other than buffs/debuffs. For example, it'd be nice to be able to get rid of (or move the position of) the health percentage, but then be able to add an additional indicator in the bottom center position. Or even to be able to change the size of the font of the player name and the percentage independent of each other. Again, I know these are nit-picky and would represent a much greater amount of effort and programming involved, just some thoughts. The last major thing I had was that whenever I would check the box for "Use a base buff color and customised 'low duration' colors", I would get an error. The screen would change to reflect the three different sections for each buff, but no changes I made to any of the colors would actually reflect and it would look like I was highlighting all three sections at once. Unchecking the box would restore normal functionality - I was just never able to successfully use this feature, even after reloading the UI, then completely closing the game and relogging. Another strange quirk was that when I would change specs, all the buff icons I had setup would "light up" and stay that way for anyone in my party at the time until I reloaded the UI. Over all I really do like this addon, and I think it fills a good need in the Rift community. Like I said, the only deal breaker for me was the mouseover macro issue - all the rest were just minor issues that I would normally be able to deal with. I don't expect the functionality of this addon to be changed that drastically, I just think it's not quite what I'm looking for. Again thanks to the developer - this is a HUGE improvement over the standard Rift raid frames! |

Are you using @mouseoverui, as this doesn't work, if not some bug? |

Hey tguyton,
Thanks for the feedback, and for using the addon. Could you tell me what you're trying to do with the @mouseover macros? I just tested this (made a cast @mouseover Bloom macro) and it's working fine for me with the CBH frames...so I'm not sure what might be going wrong for you. Regarding the buff settings and layouts, I'm going to talk to Solsis about this. He made the whole layout system, so while I'm somewhat inclined to agree that maybe these settings should carry over, I'd like to see if he has an insight as to why they should be layout specific settings first. You can actually get rid of the health percentage currently (Hide health percent on frames), but yea, most of that other stuff is what I would call "fluff options" at this point. As in: I'd love to add it in, but adding functionality or removing bugs seems more important at this point. I'll definitely try to add to the addon in these ways down the road, but I can't really say when that might be. I'm afraid I can't reproduce your errors with the buff icons - either with the "base buff color" option or the icons lighting up on role change. Could you send me the error report that shows up when you try to use this option? And are you using the latest release (1.5.2)? Thanks again for all the feedback and requests - I'm sorry that I don't have more time (or skill!) so that I could fulfill them all for you, but I'll do my best! |
