I tried the test of Conquest on the PTS today. The newest version of the addon is getting the following error upon logging on:

v1.0.6a
Knew something would bite me. Had an issue with the pet frames still causing incorrect group tables. Believe this issue is resolved. Also pushed a couple of other fixes. See changelog for details.

Status update...
Alright. So I've recoded about half of the code that updates the unitframes and determines party size etc. Doing this has reduced lag/cpu overall about 3%. I did some Warfronts and some dungeons and a couple raids. Still doing some bug checking. But currently at this time it now picks up party changes and clears old units as they join or leave the group. SHOULD NEVER have any more ghost frames hanging around. I also recoded the pets and they are now working again as well.
I worked on the config window a little and you can now reverse the frame growth WITHOUT a reloadui. Everything officially back to being able to be done on the fly. No reloads. Hate having to do a reloadui to change config. I will continue doing some bug checking to make sure that everything is working as intended. I am planning for v1.0.5 to go out on Saturday or Sunday. This weekend if all goes well. ~Solsis |

PTS
So I did a little bit of playing on the PTS. Unfortunately not many people were on so was unable to fully test it. But loaded up the PTS Client and updated my addon over there. No errors currently. No performance warnings. We'll see how it goes during the next event over there.
That is a good start though. It doesn't start screaming about my addon right off. So I'm on the right track. ~Solsis |

Re: Re: More people following this then you know.
Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. It is always helpful. Addressing your requests in the order you posted them:
1. Tracking all debuffs may be a possibility in the future. I don't have an expected date for this as it is low on the list at the moment. I had a couple of ideas for this though. I am planning on providing some different "preset layouts" that will change the way frames are setup. This will include things like showing buffs and debuffs in rows and the amount that are shown etc. For the specific debuffs generated by the purifier shields and such I'll see if I can't get something in to handle that a little sooner. 2. Durations on the buffs is a huge request and will hopefully be going in pretty soon. I haven't decided how I want to handle the duration part of it. I could make them fade off at certain intervals, or change the colors. Not a bad idea either. Also will be implementing soon the ability to change the buff icon colors for easier distinction of which is which at a quick glance. Thanks again for the feedback. These items will be added to my list (if they aren't already there) and i'll work on getting them implemented. ~Solsis Quote:

1) I would like to track all debuffs: Being able to see debuffs that prevent me from applying Ward of the Ancestors, Latent Blaze or Healer's Covenant is very important to me. I figured out that I can add debuffs to whitelist but since I can't see what debuff it is - its not that useful. I'd rather be able to see all debuffs and make use of the blacklist to get rid of those icons I don't care about. 2) The duration tracking for the buff indicators. For example I need to know if my stacks of Soothing Stream are about the expire. That is the sole reason I am looking for addon replacing the raid frames. If I may give you a suggestion from another game. The addon used colored squares as indicators as well. When the buff had less then certain amount of time left, the indicator would change color from green to red. Number of seconds was originally set to 2 but later became customizable in the ui. Thanks for your time and hard work I hope this was helpful. |

Just an update.. v1.0.5
v1.0.5 is still a week or so off probably. I was forced into re-coding something that I had actually planned on waiting for until later (more like just annoyed and tired of fiddling unsuccessfully with the ghost frame issue). This change once re-written may form new bugs that weren't there before. I will be testing it as thoroughly as possible. It is also another step further on CPU reduction for 1.9. I am working very hard to ensure this addon doesn't break when watchdog drops with 1.9. Please bear with me through the bugs (if any are publicly found).
I promised less user-end bugs, which to acquire requires slowing down a little to allow more thorough test time. In between updates I will make occasional posts with information regarding the current status. Thank you everyone for the continued support, patience, and to those of you who have taken the time to test and reply with information regarding your experiences. It is greatly helpful in ensuring optimal functionality of this addon. Hope everyone's weekend has been well. HAPPY RIFTING!!!! PS... Still looking for a couple of people that would be interested in the testing process to help provide feedback on features. PM me or post here if interested. Thanks ~Solsis |

Re: More people following this then you know.
Thanks for the feedback. Glad you are liking CBH. As far as the custom macros go, it doesn't really change anything. Just appears different. Anytime you bind a spell (in the background) it joins them all into one macro anyways. So all in all it's the same. Just visually different.
As for the buff thing. Reading back through previous posts and on the "things to come list", I am planning to add probably 2 additional buff slots totalling 5. I might add a 3rd and allow it to take the place of the role icon. Long term plans also are going to allow a 2nd layout that will put all the buffs in a row easily allowing for more. As for buffs and debuffs, my addon should already ONLY be showing buffs that you have applied and debuffs than CAN BE dispelled. If it can't be dispelled IT SHOULD NOT show up. If it is, I need to know the spell name and I will add it to the debuff blacklist. My addon also has a custom blacklist in which you could add the debuff name to and it would prevent it from showing up as well. But certain ones I plan to add to a permanent blacklist by default so they don't have to be entered every time. I'm confused on your comparison of CBH and Gadgets. If Gadgets does something that you like and would like to see in mine, let me know. I'll do my best to make it happen. Would it be possible to get a screen shot, maybe 2? Just to show in better detail what you are referring to. Thanks again Quote:

More people following this then you know.
I've been following this add-on since it's release. When Hbot died, then Lifebinder (the continuation of Hbot) lost it's main dev I'm now using CBH exclusively.
As of right now there are two things I see wrong, one of which is an inconvenience, the other, a needed feature. The first is the fact that using the 'custom' bind gets a little buggy at times. When I bind something as custom it will bind all the variations of that button. As in if I try to bind Shift+Left Click to a custom macro, it then binds every Left Click combination to 'custom'. Somewhat inconvenient, but definitely not a game-changer. The second is a little more important. Right now you can only track three buffs, and the buff timer does not show up on the bar. I actually use Gadgets in combination with CBH since it's one of the few UI add-ons that allows you to *easily* track the buffs only you place on a person, as well as the handy ward debuff. If you're not familiar, ward of the anscestors, a purifier damage negation skill places a debuff on the person you ward so that you can't cast another ward on him/her until the debuff is up. This is invaluable to track. As of now how my UI is set up is I disabled the original Rift Unit frames and replaced it with Gadgets, you can do this by typing in a custom name for each frame in Gadgets (group01, group02, all the way to group20). You can then set the gadget unit frame to only show buffs/debuffs that apply to you. (things you can cure, hots you placed on the person, etc.) I then placed CBH right next to it. If CBH somehow used the same tracking mechanics as Gadgets did, it would be a perfect healer add-on. Obviously this isn't a huge issue since there are ways around it, but it is still something that could make a healers job much easier. |

Snags, I guess i'm not quite following what you are saying is happening here. The problem we were referring to happens in combat sometimes when people join/leave the group. If you can click through one of the units and turn your screen or whatever like the frame isn't even there, just do a /reloadui. Might have to do it a couple of times. Again this is something I will play with later to see if I can get around it with the new API additions, but will not be until later.
