This Addon includes fully tested support for all Rift instanced raid content, including partial support for: Endless Eclipse and full support for: Frozen Tempest, Triumph of the Dragon Queen, Infernal Dawn, Hammerknell, River of Souls, Greenscale's Blight, Rise of the Phoenix, Drowned Halls and Guilded Prophecy plus new support for Expert and Master Dungeons. Various new and existing features are being included on a regular basis including; Mechanic Timers, Custom Mechanic Monitors (e.g. King Molinator), Encounter Timers, Tank Swap monitors, Adjustable boss casting bars, Boss cast bar ability filtering, Enrage Timers and many more.

Currently, this evolving Boss Mod Addon is housing the latest version of the original King Molinator Addon. This mod will still be worked on along with the addition of any other encounters I add in the near future.

* Note: All Encounters have full English, Russian and German support unless explicitly stated. Partial support for the French client.

Tank-Swap Monitor (T-SM)
  • Automatically tracks all tanks simultaneously and displays debuff stack and cool-down information.
  • Full tracking of tank stack and debuff duration by any raid member.
  • New! Displays each tanks HP bar, updates real-time.
  • New! Tracks and displays all tanks death states.
Advanced Encounter Tracking
Each supported boss encounter includes the following:
  • Encounter timer display in MM:SS format.
  • Enrage timer display in MM:SS format. (where applicable)
  • Phase tracking display. (where applicable)
  • Objective tracking display. (where applicable)
  • Main boss always visible castbar tracking. (skill filters where supported)
  • Selection of optional mechanic or skill timers and screen alerts.
  • Customize the size of all Timers, Alerts, Castbars and Phase Tracking.

Commands

/kbmoff Turns off the Addon's triggering methods.
/kbmon Turns on the Addon's triggering methods.
/kbmoptions Toggle the GUI Options screen on/off.
/kbmhelp Display these commands in-game.
/kbmversion Displays the current version in chat.
/kbmreset Try this before using /reloadui, or if the encounter has ended in success didn't announce a victory.

/ReloadUI Use this in-case of any errors during the encounter. It'll reset it and the monitor "should" continue from where it left off.

New Castbar System (During Alpha)

I've looked through my combat logs for our most recent fights and can't see any reference to Mistress of the Rift (either as a Buff or Cast). I'm not doubting she doesn't cast it, or buff with it, I just need to know if it's a cast and/or buff she gains.

Our fights are usually around the 6-7min mark, could this be why I don't see them?

Oh, as a side note, if you change the width of the Screen Alerts nothing should break. I'll add the option to do these within the game soon. I'm also adding the option to set custom colors for screen alerts (if all goes as planned).

Seems there was a minor bug with Murdantix, which could easily be missed during a fight, it's entirely possible this could of thrown out Molinar. Lua is a horrid language.

I'll take a look at Molinar, it's a strange one though since Molinar hasn't been touched with regards to it's monitor since I can remember

Mistress of the Rift can be added in addition to Dancing Steel. I won't be removing Dancing Steel as our guild have melee DPS which move out during that. Not even sure what Mistress of the Rift is, being ranged DPS guess it's never come to my attention.

Individual color settings are certainly coming, the latest change to Mechanic Timers having size adjustments enabled is where that's beginning to emerge. It's just going to take a lot of changes to the current Encounter settings page to set up the GUI for it (they are capable of individual colors, just no way to change them as an end user just yet).

Just done Molinar, Estrode and Grugonim and had a few issues with latest release.

On Molinar I was having to /reloadui to get health bars to work plus the timers all the same colour makes it quite hard to know which is which without starring at them. Be really handy if they were different colours.

As I'd suspected, the individual settings had been ignored by the new engine. I've fixed this for the next release, they'll start playing nicely again.

I'm tempted to release it now, except 0.7.5 also has an untested advanced phase tracking engine added to Grugonim. I'm going over the new code with a fine tooth comb as we speak, so if it's a game-breaker I'll certainly release it.

I'll take a look, I have a funny feeling they are being overwrote by the master settings all the time regardless of their individual setting. The settings moved over to a new system not long back, it's highly likely alerts got left behind (surprised no one else mentioned it).

I'll let you know what I find.

Snarty one issue I came across yesterday was with regards to Screen Flash. I am unable to select just one or two to work from the encounter options. If I unselected one in an encounter it still shows unless I disable it in the main options.

In other words it was not possible to choose which screen flash to use, it was all or none.

Hope this makes sense?

Thanks, love watching your guilds videos, even more so when I can monitor KBM in use. It helps me iron out anything I see which is not working as I'd originally intended.

The problem with my development cycle is I only get 1 day to test HK bosses, and then 3 days facing Akylios only. So, videos such as yours proved invaluable.

And, don't fear this addon is far from finished, I have a lot planned which goes past version 2.0.0 (yup, based on a 0.0.1 revision cycle).

If you see anything out of the ordinary feel free to give me a nudge and I'll fix it asap, or even if it's just plain working, that would be great to know also.

If you like Raidkiller, than why dont you use Raidkiller instead of telling the author of another add on to add the mechanics and functions that the author of Raidkiller worked hard on to come up with? I dont understand the logic behind this at all.
Adding the mechanics to an engine that already handles it isn't the hard part by a mile. The engine itself is the hard part. My engine already handles what he's asked for, it's just I was ensuring that said engine works 100% accurately before adding every encounter.

Trust me when I say I can now implement every encounter mechanic currently in Rift, it's just a case of making sure I don't throw in random numbers from here on in.

Also note, however, that as much as Wire likes to call me on "stealing" our Addon's engines could not be any more different if they tried. Ask your nearest programmer on what I'm talking about, the source is publicly available, there's no hiding.
I have no doubt that your engine can handle whatever mechanics are in Rift. It just boggles my mind why someone would download both add ons, like the mechanics and functions that are in Raidkiller, and then go and ask you to put all of these mechanics and functions into your add on.

I dont think Wire has ever accused you of stealing code, however, for someone to come here and give you all of the timers and functions and specific information to add to your add on and then you add it .. its like someone doing a thesis and getting all of the research to back it up and spending a considerable amount of time on it, only for someone else to look over their shoulder and spend 5 mintues copying down the pertinent points and then writing that research into their own thesis.

Yeah, I totally forgot to add the flash for Runic, it's in for the next version already, includes both a warning solid screen alert followed by the duration alert (Blue).

I've also just this minute added Estrode's Rage of the North Timer, seems to be around 8 seconds from my parses, variable between that and 9/10 is the most I've seen. I've also added that any timers unique to soul's are stopped on soul change.

I can't see any issues with improving Grugonim, I'll possibly either add a new Objective method to my Phase tracker which can count abilities used (ie, for the Breaths) or a unique counter, the former maybe be useful for other encounters and maybe new encounters yet to be seen. I'll also add a count for the number of towers destroyed for the sake of completeness. The way my objective tracker works, is that I can add and remove objectives at will without needing to change phases.

Anyhow, from this point forward, KBM will be expanding more than being fixed, since I feel most of the niggles are now resolved.
