Usually, these are string identifiers. "TOPLEFT", "TOPCENTER", "TOPRIGHT", "CENTERLEFT", "CENTER", "CENTERRIGHT", "BOTTOMLEFT", "BOTTOMCENTER", "BOTTOMRIGHT". Updated kalert today from RIFTUI.com, here is what the problem currently is:
Updated to v1.38.3 Copy/Pasted as usual reloaded ui in game ADDON ERROR Rift UI eXtensions 0.2.1 Under Addons (IN-Game) Karuul's is now named "Rift UI eXtensions" Open Directory: Folder is still named correctly etc, Karuul Alert's Text doc still has v1.33.3 on header. Not sure if this is the prob, but nothing else shows for me error wise. Correction: Error: file 'ImageButton.lua' not found In UIX is under show details. Any advice on how to fix? I don't remember what version I was previously. EDIT: I forgot to mention, the addon is not available to me anymore with this error. As the game does not recognize /kalert. Should I just delete the addon from the interace and start fresh? Only concern here is losing my already made alerts.

It's perfectly safe to delete the KaruulAlert folder from Interface\Addons. This is not where your alerts are stored (they are in Interface\Saved). Starting with a fresh KaruulAlert folder should fix it. |

OK, thank you. Had the courage to delete it once you told me the files we safe
It took me a bit, but in the end I ended up having to "open the file" instead of save it (as usual) to my download folder. May have been amateur hour for me; but ultimately, Got it back working. Thanks Running IE, Win 7 if anyone else has these issues. (Like I said, I am an amateur so dunno if that info helps anyone else.) |

Hi,
I'm having trouble adding an alert, specifically for a cleric ability called "Dark Water". I set it up exactly the same way as other similar abilities (buff w/timer), but for some reason it won't appear at all. I can see it on the target in the default ui, but the alert won't trigger in KaruulAlert. I am able to get the icon to appear when I choose "missing" instead of "active" in the settings, but when I do this, it doesn't disappear after the debuff is applied. I can't figure out what the issue is. I have the most recent version. Thanks in advance. |

Dark Water fix
I have a fix for your Dark Water issue. The problem is that the debuff on the target is called Darkness, and you have to type that in the "Buff" field. Here is what I did. (Change settings as needed.) This tracks stacks and gives a 15 sec countdown.
@yuhwoo and Fred... (remove the hard return between "KA:" and "Darkness" at the beginning - I had to separate as it was making a smiley face.) KA: Darkness:a+H05eNotjkELgkAQhf+RraZWzMncXehQgmw3QSbdYlEsdhZCov/eKPFmDu/jMW8 gBgOvEWfro4D+YQMsRPNK9MNkiaDQUmaFTIpcJWkpVQmCQ5olWLW7B84G3DTXU4M3N7owt657TtT 0fKJ9Y7CeWoz6nmB3EJBnAtL9MjHrQwG7gb5wrIypzqW6GFUzX0sEbMX6zB+zM5CvzfoHkQ44oQ Unfortunately, I am having the problem where, when I log out Karuul Alert sets get erased. I have them all saved but it's still kind of a pita to have to recreate them every time I log in. Rift says, Kalert is creating an internal error and wants to shut down the mod. This is the error I receive: Error: kAlert/tasks.lua:53: Incorrect function usage. Parameters: (Texture: kAlert.objectIcon5.0x24a65408), nil Parameter types: Texture, nil Function documentation: Sets the alpha transparency multiplier for this frame and its children. Element:SetAlpha(alpha) -- number Parameters: alpha: The new alpha multiplier. 1 is fully opaque, 0 is fully transparent. stack traceback: kAlert/main.lua:850: in function 'add' kAlert/main.lua:905: in function <kAlert/main.lua:893> [C]: in function 'xpcall' kAlert/tasks.lua:49: in function <kAlert/tasks.lua:42> In kAlert / unnamed background task stack traceback: [C]: in function 'error' kAlert/tasks.lua:53: in function <kAlert/tasks.lua:53> [C]: in function 'xpcall' [C]: in function 'Dispatch' kAlert/tasks.lua:53: in function <kAlert/tasks.lua:42> Thanks for any help you can provide.

Stacks
Allow greaterthan, less, and equal in the stacks textbox. Such as >4, =5, <7
Another thing that powerauras had that I miss is having an alert only react based on the conditions of another alert. Outside of those 2 suggestions, I still use this mod religiously

Since the release of 2.4, I've seen a number of intermittent breakage issues.
Mid-fight, after a rez, alerts stop working until a /reloadui is performed. Also, there were some issues with receiving alerts from another player- they just didn't show up in the set until I reloaded the UI. Common? Known issue? Working as intended? Still love this addon btw |

Seems like pet buff tracking is broken again. Used to have to target the pet once to track it but now it doesn't track at all. possible workaround is to focus your pet and track buffs on focus.
