Hey, could you find time to toss in a config-based way to sort Raid frames bottom to top? That way I don't have to hack my lua every time I update gadgets
Also, couldn't use Gadgets on PTS because of spammy errors from libUnitDatabase. Is that a non-issue on live servers? Or do you have/is there a fix? Thanks for the addon. Love it. I see you have a new release scheduled, just wanted to toss in my "bug" report.
Since 1.9, many of the raid frames show up blank (dead player) until you /reloadui. Not a huge deal, overall. I don't use many of the other gadgets other than the badass raidframes. I'd like to use the unit frames, but I don't want to switch from my other add-on until there's a method to put buffs on TOP of the unit frames instead of below. This add-on, overall, is pretty beast. v0.3.64 (RIFT 1.9)
Thanks Hawkmoon, the new version has been modified to work properly in RIFT 1.9 (updated to the new unit availability system).
Also added a couple of options to reverse the sequence of frames within the raid frames panel (you can reverse the order of groups and/or units within each group). To handle moving buffs above the panel, I might just add another template for now (an 'Upside Down Standard Frame' that has buffs above, and the name etc below) - it'll be really quick to add in that way. |

Now... the only reason I still use MyUI is: - Self debuff bars above my unit frame. - Target debuff bars above target unit frame. - Target buff icon window on the left side of my screen. ...since I saw you talking about buffs below.

Problem with Last Gadget 0.3.6...
Hi,
i have a problem with Gagdet Warden when updraging to Gadget 0.3.6. and later casting is ok for every bar, Deluge, etc... but no hots are displayed, and no stacks. I think Gadget Warden works fine because i use the last version with Gadget x.x.x, but any changes have been made to Gadget forcing me to use 0.3.52. Thanks for the work. PS: Sorry for double posting "gadget warden" ans "gadget" PPS: sorry for my bad english :-( |

A buff gadget would be awesome. Right now I run into issues because I can't see quite enough of my self buffs (it only shows 8, and I'd need about 12)

Just wanted to give you a heads up. I had to disable most addons that read during combat (for things like buffs, hp, mana... anything that changes during combat on a mass scale, like raids or in Conquest or WF). Addon CPU usage was skyrocketting to over 60% in some situations and reducing my FPS to under 10 (from my normal 35 - 70 fps, and typical 25 to 35 in combat on raids).
I assume this has something to do with the new watchdog crap Trion added, muddying the back-end and making performance horrible. So as of right now I can't use Gadgets, and this sucks. I know it's not YOUR fault, as your addon never had issues pre-1.9. However, since 1.9 this + kbm + myUI (for buff bars) = horrible, horrible performance. Disabling 1 or 2 helped, but disabling all 3 put me back to normal. I now raid (even Laethys) with 1 addon enabled: nkWardrobe... which does nothing but disable itself during combat. This makes me sad. Does your new version have any tweaks to speed itself up? Workarounds to fool the watchdog? Something to keep addon CPU down to the normal 5 to 6% it USED to hover at during combat? |

Of course, if it's still happening, I'll have to do some investigating and talk to Zorba (Trion) about it, but I'm not currently aware of any massive performance issues. |
