Just a simple alert addon for when you've entered combat. This is my first addon ever, so I'm still very much in the learning phase.

If you find something wrong with it, let me know and I'll try to fix it. It might take awhile but I promise it'll get fixed. Thanks!

Also, I play on Sunrest as Clip (on Defiants) if you have any questions or comments. Thanks!

Had to temporarily remove the Background Intensity slider so I can implement it differently
Added the ability to turn on or off the fullscreen background alert.

Fixed a bug where resolutions lower than 1920x1080 would have scale issues.

1.1.2 is coming. I've just been a little busy with work. Thanks for the support.

Configuration window added. Access this by using '/alertme show'.
You can now change the # of screen flashes.
You can now change the intensity of the full screen glow alert. Default is 20%.

Added new alert style (old one removed as it was obtrusive to the user)
Added new alert for exiting combat (useful for when running through mobs or when the screen is very busy)

Interesting. I'm not sure why it does that. Then again, I developed it on 1920x1080 so I'm probably missing something. I'll look into it this afternoon and post a fix later on tonight. Thanks for the heads up!

Hmm, it seems the graphics weren't made for that resolution initially, I was going to change the images for you and send to you, but I realize now that it's gotta be something in the code if you reload the UI and it works fine.

Hopefully it gets fixed for you.

Hi im playing on 1280x1024 fullscreen and i always get some graphic bugs. After reloadui it works perfect.

You're welcome, I'll keep checking it out, and testing. I don't mind helping a fellow designer. I'm still waiting on your frames from the screenshots in this, the unit frames you have are awesome, they're minimal while still going with the UI design without being over the top, but the text needs some styling or different font options, something to improve the quality of the text.

Any chance you'd let me test the Unit Frames with you? I see in the chat on the screenshot they're called FFUnitFrames, but you must not have uploaded them anywhere yet, because I can't find them via searching google lol

I know, with you being a designer, that everything will turn out awesome when it's done, I can trust that - because I'm also a designer (I just can't understand code for the life of me)

This is pretty cool for something so simple. I just wanted to let you know, there is no folder, everything comes out of the .RAR file all at once, so I have to create a folder for it.

EDIT: I tried the addon, and even though it's a good idea, it's too bright and too noticable to the point for me that it becomes an annoyance, I don't know if changing the images will change that for me or not, as I know nothing about code. Great first addon though.

Just keep testing!

As I said in the desc for the addon, this is my very first one and I'm very very new to Lua (As in like, 2 weeks) so I'm still learning a lot. It make take me a little time to make it happen, but it WILL get added. Thanks for the ideas and for using the addon!

That feature would be insane. During a Warfront, I often only realize that 50% of the time I have an instant waiting...

You could easily integrate a feature like that? If so, there is no doubt that it would be highly successful. Is there anything I might be able to do to help?

Would it be adequate for me to add a feature that would let you select from the list of available spells and procs to obtain alerts for? You could pick when you want to know what spells cool down and which procs are ready to go?

Sunrest Rocks!

I wanted to do something very similar to this, but only when the "opportunity" soul procced so I know when I should be launching Void Bolts...

It's another addon I'm working on. It's not in a "complete" enough form to release yet. It'll be up on here though when I get that kinks worked out.
