Ensemble
Version: 1.0
by: pollyzoid [More]
Automatically changes your equipment when you change roles.

Use /ensemble or /ens for a list of commands and help.

Features:
  • Changes equipment sets according to your role
  • Saves equipment automatically when you switch roles
  • Item locations in your bags are saved, so the items will be moved back there when you switch out
  • Subsets for switching few items within a set (for example weapons between 2H and DW in a DPS build)

Known issues:
  • Rapidly switching between subsets will mess them up, because the equip commands are delayed while saving the equipment isn't
  • You can't have a 2H and a 1H weapon saved in the same slot due to how Rift dumps your unequipped weapon into your first bag (possibly unfixable? I haven't tried looking for a solution, keeping your 2H in a separate bag slot isn't too much of a hassle)
  • Bag slots are saved for the item set you're switching to (instead of the set you're switching from), so you need to do some item juggling the first time you setup your roles (currently unfixable because the items need to be in your inventory to save the slots)
  • Please report any bugs you find.
Version 1.0 (kinda):
  • Renamed from Autofit to Ensemble to avoid confusion (there's another similar addon called Autwofit)

Go to Rift/Interface/Saved/<your email>/SavedVariables and rename Autofit.lua to Ensemble.lua to keep your previous settings. Also, inside the file, change Autofit_Equipment to Ensemble_Equipment.

I seem to receive an error every time I log in when using this addon. If I ignore the error, the addon appears to continue to function properly.

Error below:
Code:
Error: Ensemble/main.lua:73: attempt to index a nil value
In Ensemble / RoleChange, event Event.TEMPORARY.Role
stack traceback:
	Ensemble/main.lua:73: in function 'SaveSet'
	Ensemble/main.lua:119: in function 'ChangeSet'
	Ensemble/main.lua:152: in function <Ensemble/main.lua:151>
Thanks for the addon though, it's exactly what I needed. I constantly forget to change crystals when I swap roles, and unless I'm swapping from dps to tank or such, I don't usually do a loadequip command. This makes it all automatic =D Glad I didn't have to write it myself.

Just to make sure I understand this add-on correctly... It is supposed to swap the gear automatically when you change roles? No need to use loadequip?
I'll probably write a short step-by-step guide later today.
Basically, all you need to do is equip items. When you switch out of the role, the items you had on are saved and will be equipped when you switch back to that role. If your new role has items saved, it equips them, otherwise your current items are kept.
You can also make multiple roles share one item set with /ens link <role>, which links your current role to the given role. Once linked, they share the same item set, and when you equip a new item in any of the linked roles, they're all updated.

e: Ensemble just acts in the background. I wanted to make a simple outfit changer that wouldn't need any setting up, that you could use without changing how you equip items or having to use slash commands to save or load.

It very easy to use, once you select your gear for each roll and make room in the last bag - its almost a use and forget mod, new gear drops from mob you equip it and its done no click save ect,

just remember if other roles use the old gear and its in your bag still when you change role it will put it on, So make sure to swap new bit back. easy

i made another tooltip bar and made it small so i could add my role icons for easy click.

nice work thanks.
Thanks for reminding me about the other addon (called Autwofit). Mine isn't related to it, and I've renamed mine to avoid future confusion. Hope you enjoy using it!
