revRaidLoot
Version: 2.2.2
by: ingshtrom, Naifu
Hello and thank you for trying out my first addon! I am a software developer [irl] and decided I should finally get to working on some Rift addons. This is the most basic form of revRaidLoot. Right now, it tracks DKP or whatever other raid loot rules that you use similar to DKP/EREG. Everything is manual right now, but I want to assure you that I will be updating this frequently!

There is only 1 "slash" command: /dkpt. ( without the period ) This will bring up the raid screen, from which you can select your raids at the top ( where it says "Select..." ), create new raids ( text field right below that with the button next to it ), and update raid members ( the rest of the screen, derp! ).

Currently:
- tracks raids ( up to 20)
=> for more than 20 people in a raid ( subs, etc ), just create a separate raid for now.
- tracks member names and their associated loot value ( DKP, EREG, etc )
- add/delete raids
- add/update/delete members

TODO:
- batch raid member updates
- automated updates based on certain criteria ( send me ideas on when this should be updated please. Right now I am just thinking of when kills happen in a dungeon)

I think that is it. If you have any questions, just send me an email ( [email protected] ) or leave a comment. Thank you for trying this out!!

This is a product of Rift:Evolve()

Loggin off,
-Ingshtrom

Yes, I plan on updating the addon, I have just been focusing on a new addon and have also been very busy.

I am glad you got it working though!

Awesome I finally got it all working!
Embarrassingly enough I found that my other addons were not saving as well and this happened a few updates to a patch ago because I know they were all working just fine before. I ran the game as an administrator and the rest of my addons started saving, but the first time around after relogging.. revraidloot didnt save, but it did the second time around and I retested everything from saving to importing new cvs files with a sub list as well. All working fine now!

Tyvm for being patient with my input and questions and helping me get this to work lol I'll be checking for new stuff added if you ever do

I really can't imagine what is going wrong. I haven't had any issues with data not being saved. I think we should set up a time to do a join.me session (screen sharing). If you are ok with that, send me a PM.

Yeah, when I load the spreadsheet and import it as a CVS file, they're out of order int he main raid list window which like you said isnt really a big deal. II have tried both the save and update button and neither of them save my raids after logging off. I have to re-add the raid which i've just named "ID" for now and import the cvs file again

I am glad that many of those issues were cleared up with the latest build! As for the saving issue, are you using the save button, or the update button? I recommend using the update button at the bottom of the page because I added the save button in 10 minutes one night before a raid (someone wanted it). Thus, it wasn't fully tested as much as I would like. In the meantime, I will take a loot at that button and see what's going on.

Are you getting any more errors when you do anything with the addon? If so, please keep sending the screen shots of the error message please. I will try and get to them in a timely manner.

Nice! This version works better than the last (at least for me lol) and I didnt find your reply insulting. I suppose I dont have much experience in terms of giving input for addons, but I have been using them since my days in WoW. The problem I -was- seems to be gone now, but before I would extract it just fine, but upon copying it into my addons folder and then logging onto RIFT and checking the addon screen there, it would say "Missing "Insert folder name here" Dependency. I would go into the normal folder I copied it into and look for that file or folder, copy it and the past it outside of the main folder. Then I would get another error saying missing another file dependency. I would have to do that several times before that addon would actually show up in game.

The save button seems to work fine in game, but I do have a question. Is it supposed to save the raids that I name even after logging off? because anytime I do, it gets wiped. I'll be trying to test out the CVS spreadsheet if I can get it imported properly by following your guide http://www.riftui.com/portal.php?id=41&a=faq&faqid=4

Thank you for replying though and I hope this input helps to get it working
So, when you extract, you will get a folder called revRaidLoot. Inside of that, should be a folder should be another folder called revRaidLoot as well. All you need to do is copy or cut that folder, and move it one directory/folder "above". So, in the end, if you had no other addons, there would be two folders in the "RIFT Game"/Interface/Addons/ folder. One of them will be called revRaidLoot, while the copy probably is called revRaidLoot(1).

With me so far?

since revRaidLoot is the direct extraction of the zip folder, it shouldn't be needed. Let's rename it to revRaidLoot_old or something like that for now. Rename revRaidLoot(1) to just plain revRaidLoot now. Directly inside of our "new" revRaidLoot will be 1 folder named 'lib' and two files--RiftAddon.toc and main.lua. If you have this, go into the 'lib' folder and make sure that the three folders "revLibImport", "LibSimpleWidgets", and "SafesRaidManager" are in there.

If so, then you can go back to the .../Addons/ folder and delete the revRaidLoot_old folder ( and all of it's contents ).

This should set up everything correctly. If it doesn't, let me know because I really can't reproduce your issues anymore. I am thinking that your files are just out of place.

I hope I haven't insulted you in any way with this in-depth explanation. I don't know what your experience is with this sort of stuff, so I figured I would be better safe than sorry. I apologize in advance for anything. On a brighter note, I am really glad that you are sticking with this to get it working. I appreciate it.

-Ingshtrom

P.S. If we need to, we can do something like Skype screen sharing or join.me, and I can guide you through what your Addons/ folder should look like. Enjoy!

I tried to delete the addon as well as just overwriting it with the one on this page and it either doesnt show up in game or I get "Missing Dependency" at the addon screen.

EDIT: After quite a bit of tweaking I was able to get this newer version working. Now i'm just having a problem with revlibimport. I keep getting the error listed below. The save button doesnt work either unless it's just there for looks :P

Hmmm. You seem to be having a lot of issues. I have tried to test it out, but it seems like I didn't do it enough. I will look into these issues. Sorry for the delay as well.

I really appreciate your input thought

Sorry, I am a Rift developer. I am not interested in working cross-platforms. If you mean to just change the way the points are set in the addon, then please be a bit more specific as to what you would like in the addon. Thanks!
