I'm comfortable enough to call the latest upload an official release. It is my hopes that people use StarTip to create better looking tooltips than the two provided - 'Default' and 'Natural.'

The link provided below leads to documentation on how to create your own tooltips. You just provide small user Lua scripts, tweak a few settings to change dynamic colors for borders and background, each text cell, and each bar... implement marquees, add custom bar widgets, create fun animations, or just move stuff around - get rid of lines or whatever...

There's an entire library behind StarTip which provides the script environments with functions and other entities. Documentation is limited, but I'll be cleaning things up soon; I'll fix what's available where it's ugly and finish adding pages for the plugins.

I say go nuts with it. :) I'd try to create the perfect profile, but I'm not a designer, just a poet and coder.

If you're at all confused by this, then I'll make it real simple. Design better looking unit tooltips than this and share them:



Feel free to offer improvements to the available plugins, or suggest new plugins. I'm always interested in adding new ones.

One last note.. Apparently I have trouble with colors, so please give feedback on functions like ClassColor, BackgroundColor, or UnitRelationColor.
