Paypal - Business account only ?
 

Hello all.

I dunno if its already been covered (search didn't provide any results regarding this).

I'e tried to follow the instruction found in the FAQ :

in order to setup a paypal donation.

Thing is : I have no "saved buttons" link as my account is a personal account, not a business one.

Have anyone been able to setup a donation without using a business account?

I believe you need to have a business account for this. Had one anyway so I can't tell you 100% for sure. Be aware there'll be fee deducted from the amount you receive.

well I don't mind them taking a cut, as long as there is no monthly fee. (I doubt I'd get any donation, but you really never know until you try) I just don't want end up paying for a button that wouldn't be used.

There isn't a monthly fee....I've had a business Paypal account for years and haven't really used it =)

"2. All Add-Ons, including all versions thereof and all features therein, must be distributed free of charge. Further, Developers may not charge money, or any other form of compensation, for services related to the Add-On."

There is a huge difference between charging for an addon, and saying that you'll accept donations. Donations are fine.
