I don't think it has been requested yet, and I'm pretty sure it's not yet available as an addon, but I think most of us would appreciate a simple
addon that displays a countdown on abilities that are under cooldown. This would provide more visibility than the simple darkened area on the ability.
I am thinking of something similar to Omni CC in WoW :
