I know of just one way; resizing your quest tracker frame, that will re-size the quest item button.
Edit: You should be able to drag and drop the quest item onto your action bar and assign it a keybind, for faster and easier access, but I know this doesn't solve the easy of use that you really want, but it's the best thing you can do for now.
