Request: Custom UI

I'm a huge fan of RealUI and would love to see something like it come to Rift!

I'm still waiting on someone to work on it, or work with me on it. I can't understand code for the life of me, but I'm great with Photoshop and image creation.

I'm offering my graphic design skills for anyone working on a RIFT UI project, or addOn for RIFT. I love doing this kind of thing, customization is so much fun. I like doing it more than playing the game unfortunately lol

I just wish someone would be interested in working with me. We can always set up a Donate thing so we can make some money for the work we do, that is if people like the ideas we create and put across for them to check out.

I'm not sure it could be done yet, as we're not allowed to directly manipulate most of the game. Actionbars, Minimap stuff, fully-featured unitframes, stuff like that aren't possible yet. But keep your eyes open, soon(tm) it should be.

Fully featured Unit Frames are already made, the MinUI from here has them, but they're complete replacements from the originals, I'd rather just edit the images behind them to make my own. I can't understand why that wouldn't be allowed, but if it's not then there is nothing I can do about it except get on the RIFT forums and discuss it, and try to convince TRION that there is nothing to restrict from doing that except for someone making a custom UI... which makes zero sense to restrict.

Rustycage, it's not "restricted". AddOns are in a BETA state right now. All of the API is far from done. I imagine over the next 6 months we will be seeing drastic changes to the API based on what people are asking for to be added. Trion has already stated they want the UI to be fully re-configurable through AddOns.
