Not possible - that there are no addons that do this, but lots that could make use of it is a good indicator.

It's one of the frequently asked for things.

As soon as the API supports this, I am pretty sure you will see a ton of addon updates as authors update our addons to support it where it makes sense!

Actually, if i'm right of what he asks. It actually should be able to be done. Not with the Rifts own map, but with a separate one. Wouldnt actually be too hard either to make one. Sounds like he's asking for an addon to pinpoint stuff on map?

Could just use an overlay and offset based on players location.

You could - but as far as I can see, there is no way to

- find what the scale of the map is (you could take 2 points of detail, and attempt to calculate it from that, but if you zoom out far enough detail disappears)
- find where on the map the player is (they arent always centered for instance)

Without direct API support, which is almost always lacking, its just not worth the effort.
