How to use addons?

OK I'm new to the Rift addons, but not as far as other games, like WoW, EQ2 etc. I know where to put them when download.

Do I have to have downloaded the test server in Rift for me to load addons for live game? If not do I copy my downloaded UI files (add ons) to my UI folder in Rift.

Could someone give a brief explanation?

Thanks so much,
Arianos

Hi Arianos. AddOns aren't enabled on the live servers at all yet. They are only on the Public Test Shards at the moment, and actually they are currently disabled there, too.

You won't actually have to search for the folder. Once you get to the character selection screen, click the Addon button, then click on the Addon Directory button, and it'll open the Addon folder for you, without you having to hunt it down.
