Filter messages with <custom variable>

I want the ability to be able to not see messages with a certain text string, which can automatically filter these messages <spam>.

I want to not have to wait for an author to update the database, but to simply be able to highlight a message, or enter the string, and then have all future messages be ignored which contain that string.

This would be useful for cutting out the gold spammers, as well as annoying guild spammers, who want you to join their guild and will stuff it down your throat till you join.
